Arrival
Since the Bundesbank bunker is in a residential area, there are no parking spaces in the complex itself or in the immediate vicinity. Please note that larger vehicles cannot turn around. Driving on the access road to the bunker is not permitted for vehicles over 7.5t.
Out of consideration for the residents, we ask you to use the parking spaces for coaches and cars designated by the city of Cochem.
Arriving with the BunkerShuttle:
In the summer season (May 1 – October 31), we recommend the most comfortable option, the BunkerShuttle from Endertplatz in Cochem. The Endertplatz is the central bus station directly on the River Moselle and Tourist-Info Cochem – near the old Moselle bridge. The BunkerShuttle stops at the last bay.
Arriving on foot:
Alternatively, you can reach the bunker on foot in:
approx. 15 – 20 minutes from Endertplatz (Route 1)
approx. 10 – 15 minutes and approx. 70 vertical meters from the leisure center/Moselbad on Klottener Straße (Route 2)
Arrival by car / coach
Bus parking spaces for coaches are located in Cochem at the end of the green areas on the B 49 in the direction of Koblenz or in Cochem-Cond below the shopping center.
Car parking spaces can be found on the banks of the Moselle in Cochem and Cochem-Cond, on Klottener Straße in Cochem-Cond (Route 2) or behind Cochem train station.
Arriving by train:
From Cochem train station you can walk to the Bundesbank bunker in about 20 minutes.
Via the north bridge you reach Moritzburger Straße in the direction of Freizeitzentrum/Moselbad Cochem. Just before the leisure center please follow the signs ‘Hospital Footpath’ on the right hand side of the road (Route 2).
Follow this footpath until you reach the Bergstraße / Am Wald intersection and go right to the end of the street (Am Wald 35).
